Jim, the proprietor of Khaki’s of Carmel, has compiled this list because he often gets asked by his customers to recommend a place to eat. He refers to it as “the best of food on the Peninsula” but immediately adds, “there are too many great places to choose from so my list is only a partial one.

Do you like Casanova?

Cameron Well, sitting out here in the garden like this...it's a great environment. it's always really relaxed, the people here are friendly. And their food is excellent, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Casanova.

Tell me the scoop on Ol’Factory Cafe

I come here seven days a week. Matthew, who's the general manager, is a very very experienced coffeemaker who makes fantastic cappuccino and espresso and cares about what he makes.

Your opinion about Jim's store, what do you think about it?

First of all, I love clothes. And I don't think clothes get any better than this. Now one of the problems is, I can't afford any of this stuff! So I don't get a lot of things here.

What are you doing at Khaki’s today?

I am picking up a sport jacket that was purchased last week and altered. I'm here to try that on and make sure it fits properly, which I'm sure it does.
